Preconception & Fertility Planning
Planning for pregnancy starts before the positive test.
Whether you're thinking about conceiving in the next few months or just beginning to explore what's possible, the groundwork you lay now matters. Good Energy Women's Health offers whole-person preconception care that looks at everything: your cycles, your hormones, your nutrition, your history, and builds a foundation for the healthiest possible pregnancy, on your timeline.
Most preconception care starts too late, and doesn't educate enough
The standard advice is to start a prenatal vitamin and schedule an appointment once you're pregnant. But for many women, especially those with PCOS, irregular cycles, a history of pregnancy loss, or simply questions that haven't been answered, that's not enough.
Preconception care done well means understanding your body before conception: identifying anything that might affect your fertility or pregnancy, addressing nutritional and hormonal factors that matter in those early weeks, and making sure you feel informed and prepared, not rushed through a checklist.
At Good Energy, your preconception visit is a real conversation. We look at the full picture and build a plan that's specific to you.
Fertility questions deserve more than a wait-and-see.
Preconception care sits at the intersection of hormones, metabolism, nutrition, and reproductive medicine, and most training programs cover it only in passing.
Preparing for pregnancy deserves the same clinical attention as pregnancy itself. Maria sought out specialized training in preconception and fertility care to make sure that's exactly what you get. An unhurried, whole-person evaluation and a plan built around your history, your values, and your timeline.
Completed through Aviva Romm, a whole-body approach to hormones, nutrition, and metabolic health.

Your questions, answered
When should I schedule a preconception visit?
Ideally, 3–6 months before you plan to start trying, though there's value in coming in earlier if you have known concerns like PCOS, endometriosis, irregular cycles, or a history of pregnancy loss. If you're already trying and have questions, you're also welcome to come in at any point.
I've been trying for a few months without success. Is that a reason to come in?
It can be. Most guidelines suggest evaluation after 12 months of trying for women under 35, or 6 months for women over 35, but if you have known risk factors, irregular cycles, or simply want answers sooner, we are happy to see you. You don't have to wait through months of negative tests to start to get answers.
Do you provide fertility treatments like IUI or IVF?
We don't perform assisted reproductive technologies, but we provide the preconception evaluation and support that helps you understand your fertility picture, and refer to reproductive endocrinology when those interventions are appropriate.
What labs do you run at a preconception visit?
It depends on your history, but a thorough preconception panel typically includes hormone levels, thyroid function, nutritional markers, and a complete metabolic picture. We'll explain every result and what it means for your specific situation.
Can I be seen if I'm not sure I want to get pregnant yet, but want to start thinking about it?
Absolutely. Preconception care isn't just for people actively trying, it's for anyone who wants to understand their fertility, their cycle, and their body before making that decision.
Do you see clients who have experienced pregnancy loss?
Yes. Pregnancy loss is one of the most undertreated areas in women's health. We provide compassionate evaluation and planning support for clients who have experienced one or more losses and want to understand their options going forward.
You have questions. We have time.
Preconception care works best when it's personalized and unhurried.
